Birth of the Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame
The Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame was founded by John Long who also founded the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame. Lee Dorman was the organizer after convening a meeting in Nashville during December 2010 with a group of volunteers consisting of current and former Tennessee broadcasters representing the three grand divisions of the state. In April of 2011, the Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame was officially born after being registered with the TN Secretary of State as a not-for-profit corporation. The first Induction Ceremony was held in May of 2012.
